JUSTICE MADHURESH PRASAD ORAL ORDER 17-02-2021 Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for the State as also the learned Counsel appearing for the informant.
This Court would expect that the petitioner's Counsel would honour his undertaking in the instant proceedings regarding supply of requisite court fee etc. within two weeks from the date he is called upon to do so by the office.
Petitioner seeks bail in Jakkanpur PS Case No. 703 of 2019 registered under Sections 323, 504, 341, 498A of the IPC and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
Without going into merits of the submissions advanced by learned Counsel for the petitioner and since learned Counsel for the informant has appeared, this Court is allowing provisional bail to the petitioner above named for a period of eight weeks on his furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of ACJM I, Patna in Jakkanpur PS Case No. 703 of 2019.

If amicable settlement is reported to the court below within eight weeks, the Court may confirm the provisional bail. Failing any such resolution of the dispute, the Court below will be free to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, which may include cancellation of the provisional bail granted by this Court.
