Heard both sides.

In an appeal under Section 14 A of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, this Court had granted anticipatory bail to the applicant with a direction to surrender himself within a period of six weeks and to furnish bail bonds. That condition is not complied with by the applicant and that is why he has filed the instant application for extension of time to surrender with a reason stated in the said application.

Without going to the genuineness of the reasons so stated, it was left open to the police by this Court to arrest the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.9584 of 2021(3) dt.10-03-2022 2/2 applicant if he fails to surrender. That is not done by the police. Hence, I see no reason to refuse the application, therefore, this order. Time to surrender in pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 31.7.2019 is extended by two weeks from today. The application is accordingly, disposed of.
