This is a petition for grant of anticipatory bail for offence under Sections 341, 342, 353, 427, 506 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner was leading a mob which allegedly abused and obstructed in discharge of the official duty of the informant as well as damaged the papers.

Submission of the petitioner is that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent.

Considering the nature of allegation, the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender, within four weeks from the date of receipt of this order, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Barsoi P.S. Case No. 139 of 2016 to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Katihar, or successor Court, subject to the condition laid down under Section 438(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
