Petitioners seek bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Allegation against the petitioners is that they were carrying huge quantity of foreign liquor from the State of Jharkhand to the State of Bihar. Petitioners have stated on oath that they have got no criminal antecedents. They are in custody since 06.05.2019.

Considering the facts, let the petitioners, above

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.40588 of 2019(2) dt.02-07-2019 2/2 named, be released on bail after completion of investigation on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned court below where the case is pending in connection with Habibpur Police Station Case No.68 of 2019, subject to condition that both the bailors shall be resident of within the territorial jurisdiction of the learned court below and the petitioners shall fully co-operate with the trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bonds of the petitioners.
