JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR ORAL ORDER 24-01-2018 Heard learned Counsel for the petitioners and the State. Petitioners, already in custody, seek bail in Srinagar PS Case No. 48 of 2017 registered under Sections 304(B) and 120B of the IPC.

The allegation in brief is that within a year for realizing further dowry the informant's daughter was done to death by the husband and his family members.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law and petitioner no. 1 had telephonically informed regarding death of his daughter-in-law to her father.

Learned Counsel for the State submits that within a year she was done to death and there is allegation against these petitioners also. There is ante mortem injury on the body of the deceased before her body was set on fire.

Having considered the said facts and circumstances, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same within one and half year.
