The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. (a) By evoking the extraordinary jurisdiction of this Hon'ble Court through the present petition before your Lordships, the petitioner herein is seeking writ of QuoWarranto against the respondent no.1 herein, as he has been illegally holding the post of District Engineer/ In-charge District

Patna High Court CWJC No.4684 of 2014(3) dt.18-07-2023 2/2 Engineer of the district-Siwan. Being usurper of the post for so long, the respondent no.1 especially along with all others respondents herein must be compelled to justify his authority of holding such post."

At the outset, the learned counsel for appearing for the Zila Parishad, Siwan has submitted that since the respondent no. 1 has already stood retired in the month of September, 2020, the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed.
