JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 08-12-2023 Though the present petition is by way of fourth attempt, at the behest of the petitioner, for grant of bail in connection with Matihani P.S. Case No.97 of 2019, instituted for the offences punishable under Sections 25(1-AA)/25(1-b)A, 26, 27, 35 of the Arms Act, however, at the outset, the learned senior counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the trial be expedited and in case the trial is not concluded, within a period of one year from today, the petitioner be granted liberty to approach this Court for grant of bail.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner, I deem it fit and proper to direct the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial and make endeavour to conclude the same, within a period of one year

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.46601 of 2023(2) dt.08-12-2023 2/2 from today, nonetheless the petitioner is granted liberty to renew his prayer for bail, in case there is no substantial progress in the ongoing trial.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed off as not pressed.
