2. The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondent authorities to grant the promotion to the petitioner in the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police with effect from the date of promotion granted to the junior to the petitioner i.e. 29.01.2019 with all consequential benefits instead of his executive promotion granted in the year 2023.

3. Counsel submits that for the redressal of his grievance, petitioner has filed representation before the the Inspector General of Police (Headquarter) Bihar, Patna which is

Patna High Court CWJC No.10521 of 2024(2) dt.15-07-2024 2/2 annexed as Annexure P/8 of the writ petition but till date no decision has been taken on the petitioner's representation.

4. Counsel for the State submits that direction may be given to the Respondent No. 4 to pass reasoned and speaking order.

5. In the light of the submission made, petitioner is directed to place the copy of the order along with the representation which he has already submitted before the Inspector General of Police (Headquarter) Bihar, Patna i.e. Respondent No. 4 within 30 days and the Respondent No. 4 is directed to pass reasoned and speaking order on the representation passed by the petitioner 90 days thereafter.

6. Accordingly, this writ application stands disposed off.
