The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sono P.S. Case No. 156 of 2017 dated 23.07.2017 instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 307, 323, 504 and 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is related to the informant and is alleged to have, along with others, assaulted the informant, his son and nephew. The informant, his son and nephew have received injuries by hard blunt substance. Some of the injuries are reported to be grievous, whereas, the others are found to be simple. Taking into account the fact that the petitioner is related to the informant and the other injured persons and the occurrence has taken place in the background of land dispute and that the
