The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 313, 504 and 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a person with clean antecedent and the informant alleges that she was married with Chandan Kumar the younger brother of the petitioner in the year 2020 and after marriage all the accused persons including the petitioner started demanding Rs.1,00,000/- and one gold chain. Since the father of the informant was not in a position to fulfill the demand, as such, it is alleged that she was ousted from her matrimonial home after getting her pregnancy terminated.

No.53464 of 2021(4) dt.05-07-2022 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is the elder brother-in-law of the informant and the allegation against him is general and omnibus in nature. It is next submitted that the husband has already been granted regular bail.

Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner above-named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court below where the case is pending/successor court in connection with Narayanpur P.S. Case No. 62 of 2021, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Cr.P.C.
