The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sasaram (Town) P.S. Case No. 1062/2016 dated 15.09.2016 instituted for the offences under Sections 379, 420, 406, 461, 162, 384 and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

It has been alleged by the informant that the petitioner, who worked as his driver, took his vehicle on the pretext of taking somebody to Varanasi for treatment. Later, when the petitioner did not come back or return the vehicle, an attempt was made by the informant to contact the petitioner. The petitioner is then said to have taken a plea that one of his friends snatched the vehicle. Many stories were narrated to the informant, but on one particular

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.56380 of 2017 (4) dt.11-01-2018 2/2 day, i.e. on 30.08.2016, while the informant claimed to have been going to court, he saw his vehicle which had many scratches on its body.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the vehicle was recovered without any transaction of money and only because the petitioner had delayed to come back from Varana,si that the present case has been lodged.

The petitioner is in custody since 31.05.2017 and does not bear any criminal antecedent.

The petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rohtas (Sasaram) in connection with Sasaram (Town) P.S. Case No. 1062/2016.
