The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. 31(c) of 2016 registered under Sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code and 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
On perusal of report of the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, it appears that both the parties have resolved their dispute by paying one time settlement amount. Petitioner is ready to pay Rs. 21 lacs to his wife, out of which Rs. 16 lacs have already been paid to her and rest of the amount, i.e. Rs. 7 lacs, he
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.53932 of 2016 (4) dt.16-05-2017 2/2 paid today in Court through Demand Draft, as detailed in the supplementary affidavit. It also appears that both the parties have agreed not to pursue with the cases as pending in the Court below against each other.
Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case, let the above named petitioner be released on bail, in the event of arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of S.D.J.M., Patna the in connection with Complaint Case No. 31 (c) of 2016 subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr. P.C.
