1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.i) For issuance of writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the Order dated 29.08.2023 passed in Arms Case No.96 of 2012 by learned District Magistrate, Buxar.

ii) For directing the Respondents to issue Arms Licence for N.P. Bore Rifle after quashing the Order dated 29.08.2023 passed in Arms Case No.96 of 2012."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the order

Patna High Court CWJC No.10469 of 2024(2) dt.01-08-2024 2/2 dated 29.08.2023, passed by the District Magistrate, Buxur, whereby and whereunder the case of the petitioner for grant of arms license has been rejected, by filing appropriate appeal under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. It is needless to state that in case appropriate appeal is filed by the petitioner, before the District Magistrate, Buxar, within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be considered, in accordance with law and a reasoned and a speaking order shall be passed, thereon, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
