The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Karjain P.S. Case No. 78/2016 dated 23.08.2016 instituted for the offences under Section 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 307, 447, 448, 380, 427, 436, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner is alleged to have assaulted the brother of the informant by means of a sharp cutting weapon, viz. Dabia. The injuries suffered by the victim (brother of the informant) are simple in nature. There is a counter version of the occurrence, viz. Karjain P.S. Case No. 79/2016, lodged by the brother of the petitioner.

The petitioner is in custody since 18.09.2017. Regard being had to the aforesaid facts, the petitioner

No.55429 of 2017 (3) dt.07-12-2017 2/2 above named is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Birpur (Supaul) in connection with Karjain P.S. Case No. 78/2016.
