The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Special Case No. 6228 of 2017, arising out of Danapur P.S. Case No. 649 of 2017 dated 18.09.2017 instituted for the offences under Section 30(A), 32(11), 41(1) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

225 litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor is alleged to have been recovered from an auto-rickshaw and a Sumo vehicle. The petitioner was arrested on chase while he along with other accused persons was trying to flee away from the place of seizure. The petitioner is in custody since 19.09.2017 and does not bear any criminal antecedent.

Regard being had to the aforesaid facts, this

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.56702 of 2017 (2) dt.05-12-2017 2/2 Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The petitioner, above named is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand) with sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional District Judge-VIII-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Patna in connection with Danapur P.S. Case No. 649 of 2017.
