2. Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within a period of four weeks from today.

3. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bibhutipur P.S. Case No. 150 of 2023 registered for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 384, 385 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

4. As per the prosecution case around 15 criminals took out a procession in Bibhutipur Bazar to terrorize the businessman for extortion.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and no businessman has come forward to register FIR against the extortionists.

6. Learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner by contending that the petitioner is also accused in five more cases and he may not be granted bail.

7. Learned APP for the State has also contended that materials have come against the petitioner during investigation that the petitioner is also involved in extortion and the extortionists move in a group on Motorcycle to terrorize the businessman of the market.

8. Considering the aforesaid facts, this court is not inclined to grant bail to an extortionist.

9. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

10. The District Judge, Samastipur is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner in all the cases which are lodged against the petitioner.

11. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the District Judge, Samastipur through FAX and e-Mail for its compliance forthwith.
