JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 01-05-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1.(i) To issue an appropriate writ/order/direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the Respondents for recovery of Rs. 32,83,109/- (as per recommendations in Annexure- 1) from Mukhiya (Respondent no. 6) and other erring officials.

(ii) To issue an appropriate

(iii) To issue an appropriate writ/order/direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the Respondents no. 3 and 5 to take action under section 18

(5) of the Bihar Panchayat Raj Act, 2006 against Respondent no. 6 (Mukhiya) and other office-bearers of Harpur Panchayat in Singhwara block (hereinafter Panchayat) for misappropriation of government funds in the implementation of the government scheme in the Panchayat."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of their aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
