Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The wife of this petitioner died within seven years of her marriage in her matrimonial house in suspicious circumstances. There is allegation of demand of dowry and torture for the same soon before death. Other witnesses have also supported the allegation of demand and torture. Petitioner is in custody since 18.11.2017.

Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail in connection with Gaya (Muffasil) Police Station Case No. 144 of 2017 pending in the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.1334 of 2018 (3) dt.20-02-2018 2/2 Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gaya. Hence, prayer for bail is refused.

Learned trial court is directed to expedite and conclude the trial preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. (Birendra Kumar, J) Kundan/- U T
