2. The petitioners apprehend arrest in connection with Vaishali PS. Case No. 142 of 2025 dated 19-03-2025, instituted under Sections 80 and 3(5)of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023.

3.The prosecution case, in brief, is that the daughter of the informant was married to the petitioners' brother in accordance with Hindu rites and rituals. At the time of marriage, the informant had given a motorcycle, Rs.2,00,000/- in cash, jewellery, and household articles as dowry. After some time, the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.43017 of 2025(3) dt.16-10-2025 2/3 petitioners along with the in-laws of the informant's daughter, allegedly demanded Rs 2,00,000/- more as a dowry. When the informant refused to fulfill their demand due to poverty, the accused persons assaulted his daughter brutally and killed her.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are innocent and they have been falsely implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that both petitioners are the married sisters-in-law (Nanad) of the deceased. There are no specific allegations against them; rather, the accusations are general and omnibus in nature. It is also submitted that both petitioners are residing in a different village with their respective husbands had no role in the day-to-day affairs between the deceased and her husband. Lastly, it is stated that the petitioners have no criminal antecedents.

5. Learned counsel for the informant and learned APP for the State have opposed the prayer for bail.

6. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, in the event of arrest or surrender before the Court below within six weeks from today, the petitioners be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the

7. The application stands allowed.
