That this is an application on behalf of the petitioners for issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ/ order or direction for quashing the letter no. 5983 dated 23.06.2020 issued by the Additional Secretary to the Government,

Patna High Court CWJC No.16397 of 2021(2) dt.24-01-2024 2/2 Department of General Administration whereby and whereunder during the process of selection of the petitioners for appointment against the Class-IV post, the selection procedure has been changed in the midway which cause delay in issuance of appointment letters to the petitioners and further a direction be issued to expedite the matter of appointment of the petitioners and/or for issuance of such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances stated hereunder."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
