Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order dated 17.4.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No.39436 of 2016.
The petitioner is named in the FIR and it further appears that he is accused in 12 other cases and there is allegation of demand of Rs.25 lac through mobile. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that except confessional statement, there is nothing against the petitioner and he is in custody since 12.8.2016. Heard learned A.P.P. also.
Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, as stated above, as well as considering the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.75501 of 2018(3) dt.16-01-2019 2/2 bail to the petitioner, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and if possible to conduct it on regular basis. At the same time, the Sr. S.P., Muzaffarpur is directed to produce the witnesses on date fixed. With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
Let a copy of the order be communicated to the Sr. S.P., Muzaffarpur.
