The petitioner is in custody in connection with Laheri P.S. Case No.192 of 2017, a case under Sections 420/406 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is said to be the director of Avani Enggcom Developers Pvt. Ltd. The informant had entered into an agreement to purchase a plot from the said company. However, in spite of payment of major consideration money, the sale deed was not executed. The petitioner is in custody since 02.06.2017 though the petitioner has got criminal antecedent.
