Undisputedly, Jitiya festival is not a State Festival nor is 29th of September, 2021, the date on which Jitiya festival is going to be celebrated in Bihar, a Holiday declared by the State Government.

We find the present petition devoid of any merit, to have been filed by the Mukhiya of Mahmanna Gram Panchayat, perhaps, only to gain popularity and publicity for pursuing a cause which he ought to have done before the appropriate authorities.

In this view of the matter, we dismiss the present petition.
