Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, APP ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE RANJAN KUMAR JHA ORAL ORDER 15-07-2026 Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State.
2. The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Athmalgola P.S. Case No. 29 of 2026 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 191(2), 190, 109, 117(2), 74, 324(4), 324(5), 303(2) of the BNS 2023.
3. The allegation against the petitioners is that they assaulted the husband of the informant with an iron rod, fired upon him and demanded Rs. 20,00,000/- as rangdari.
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that no specific overt act has been attributed against the petitioners. He further submits that the petitioners

It is also submitted that petitioner No. 2, namely Praduman Singh, is about 73 years of age, while the other two petitioners, namely Anil Kumar and Devendra Singh, are about 55 years of age. It is further submitted that petitioner Nos. 2 and 3 have no criminal antecedents.
5. Learned APP opposed the prayer of bail.
6. Considering the rival submissions, let all above named petitioners, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned trial Court, within a period of four weeks of the order, are directed to be released on anticipatory bail furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned concerned Court, Barh, Patna where the case is pending in connection with Athmalgola P.S. Case No. 29 of 2026 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.
