Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the state.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Trial No. 8 of 2020, arising out of Gopalpur P.S. Case No. 83 of 2019 registered under Sections 20, 22 and 23 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, pending in the Court of the Additional Sessions Judge, III, West Champaran at Bettiah. The accusation is of recovery of bag from possession of the petitioner containing one kilogram chaaras. Submission is that prayer of bail of the petitioner was refused on 06.03.2020 vide Cr. Misc. No. 73438 of 2019. The

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.2467 of 2021(2) dt.17-02-2021 2/2 petitioner is in custody since 04.06.2019.

Having considered the nature of offence, I am inclined to reconsider the prayer of bail of the petitioner. The prayer for bail is rejected.
