1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That, this application is for issuance of an appropriate writ/writs, order/orders, direction/ directions to the Respondents to grant promotion to the petitioner to the post of Additional District Supply Officer retrospectively with effect from the date his juniors have been granted the same along with all consequential monetary benefits as well as

Patna High Court CWJC No.16369 of 2021(2) dt.21-02-2024 2/2 the benefits of the time promotion under the Assured Career Progression (ACP) Scheme of the Respondent-the State of Bihar from the due dates."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Food and Consumer Protection, Government of Bihar, Patna to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Additional District Supply Officer w.e.f. the date his juniors have been granted such promotion. It is directed accordingly.

3. It is needless to state that it would be incumbent upon the Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Food and Consumer Protection, Government of Bihar, Patna to consider case of the petitioner for grant of promotion, as aforesaid and take a final decision, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
