JUSTICE AJAY KUMAR TRIPATHI) Date: 05-12-2017 Writ application of the appellant was dismissed on 21.04.2016 refusing to give any direction upon the respondent authorities to appoint the appellant on the post of Constable. The primary reason for dismissal of the writ application was failure on the part of the appellant to produce the original matriculation certificate for verification of the date of birth which admittedly was not produced. The documentation which were furnished had some variation in the date of birth leading to rejection

Patna High Court LPA No.1295 of 2016 dt.05-12-2017 of the candidature.

Since every candidate was categorically informed that the original certificates had to be produced for verification of the date of birth, name, father's name etc., the failure on the part of a candidate will amount to rejection of the candidature and same cannot form a basis for compelling the respondents to consider appointing her on the post of Constable specially when the appointments have already been made and completed and thereafter also other advertisements have been issued and appointments made. The appellant-petitioner cannot be rewarded for her own failure.

Appeal has no merit. It is dismissed.
