JUSTICE SAMARENDRA PRATAP SINGH ORAL ORDER 07-08-2015 The petitioner seeks Freedom Fighter's Pension, as she underwent imprisonment from 4th October, 1942 to 16th January, 1944 for freedom of the country. She has relied upon a certificate dated 15.05.1978 issued by the Jail Superintendent.

2. Earlier, the Union Government did not find any material to sanction Freedom Fighter's Pension to the petitioner. It appears that subsequently the State Government has recommended her case for Freedom Fighter's Pension.

3. Without going into the merit of the case, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the Union Government to take appropriate decision in the matter in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. It will be open for the petitioner to file a fresh representation enclosing the copy of the relevant documents as well as recommendation of the State Government.

4. With the aforesaid observation, this application stands disposed of.
