The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Chand P. S. Case No. 67 of 2020 (G. R. No. 1041 of 2020), instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 323, 307, 379, 504 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The accusation in the F.I.R. is of all the accused persons assaulting the wife and nephews of the informant. The wife of the informant who is specifically said to have been assaulted by the petitioner and

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that if at all the allegation against the petitioner is taken on its face value, he is said to have assaulted the wife of the informant on her head. The injury which is reported to be grievous is on the hand of the wife of the informant.

Be that as it may, regard being had to the fact that the petitioner is alleged to have assaulted the wife of the informant, who has received one grievous injury, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the court below and seeks bail, all such grounds including that there is counter version of the case, shall be taken into account and an order shall be passed, without being prejudiced by the fact that the present petition has not
