This application has been filed for quashing the order dated 12.01.2001 passed in G.R. No. 2048 of 2000 arising out of Kotwali P.S. Case No. 542 of 2000 whereby and whereunder the learned S.D.J.M. has taken cognizance for the offences under Section 498A and 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The impugned order is of the 2001 and the same has been challenged in the year 2018 after an inordinate delay of about 17 years that too without satisfactory explanation. This application is dismissed on the ground of delay and latches.
