JUSTICE NAVANITI PRASAD SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 11-11-2016 Only two grievances of the petitioner subsists. Firstly, he claims interest on delayed payment of group insurance. Mr. Ajay Bihari Sinha, learned counsel for L. N. Mithila University submits that the amount of group insurance was paid to the petitioner in the year 1998 itself which disputes the petitioner. The next grievance is that substantial reductions were made from the salary of the petitioner on account of change of plan under the Triple Benefit

Patna High Court MJC No.604 of 2015 dt.11-11-2016 2/2 scheme. He was ordered to be refunded pursuant to the order of this Court which is a substantial amount. Direction was made for payment of interest on the said amount if it had been kept with the University. In my view, having considered the matter in detail, the petitioner is directed to represent the two matters to the Finance Officer of the University to take a decision thereon within 15 days of the filing of such representation by the petitioner and communicate the decision to the petitioner. Let it be noted that the payment of interest not being a discretionary part coupled with the direction already issued by this Court in this regard, if any amount on account of interest is due it will be paid to the petitioner within one month thereafter. Compliance of this order would be the responsibility of the Registrar of the respondent University.

With the observation aforesaid, this contempt application stands disposed of.
