JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 23-08-2018 If five years is not enough for the police authorities to complete the investigation and submit a final report in terms of Section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, now the time has come for the Superintendent of Police, Gaya to personally look into the matter and ensure completion of the investigation within a period of ninety (90) days from the date of receipt/communication of a copy of this order. He will also ensure filing of the chargesheet/police final report, as the case may be, in terms of Section 173 Cr.P.C. within the aforesaid period. In case it is found that the investigating officer of the case is not acting swiftly to conclude
Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.1128 of 2016 (2) dt.23-08-2018 the investigation, the Superintendent of Police shall change the investigating officer in order to give effect to the aforesaid direction of this Court. Non-compliance of the direction aforesaid shall be viewed seriously.
The application is disposed off with the aforesaid directions.
