The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 23.2.2022 (Annexure-1) passed in Cr. Misc. no. 50067 of 2021 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail on completing one year in custody. The petitioner has remained in custody for one year since 18.7.2021. Heard learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case the liberty granted in the earlier order of rejection dated 23.2.2022 and the

No.44807 of 2022(2) dt.14-09-2022 2/2 petitioner having remained in custody for more than 1 year, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Bodh Gaya (Cherki) P.S. Case no. 241 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge II - cum - Special Judge of Excise Act, Gaya.
