The petitioner is seeking a direction upon the respondents to consider his claim for promotion from the post of Lecturer to Reader under merit scheme. Application with details has already been filed by him way back on 12.9.2012, which is Annexure1 to the writ application. Four years have gone past and no decision has emerged. It is in this background that the writ application has been filed.

Patna High Court CWJC No.9355 of 2015 dt.20-05-2016 2/2 The writ is disposed of now with a direction upon the Vice Chancellor of the University that he will take cognizance of Annexure-1, examine the entitlement of the petitioner for grant of such promotion in terms of the scheme and communicate the decision of the University within a period of six months from the date of production of a copy of this order.
