The petitioners seek anticipatory bail in a case instituted for the offence under Sections 498A, 406 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. It is alleged that the complainant was married with Md. Abid in the year 2009, but after marriage she was tortured by her husband and his family members.

It has been submitted that the petitioners are father-inlaw and unmarried sister-in-law (Nanad) of the complainant. From the complaint petition itself it appears that the allegation against the petitioners is general and omnibus.

No.3080 of 2017 (2) dt.28-01-2017 2/2 Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioners above named in the event of surrender within six weeks from the date of receipt of this order, in connection with Complaint Case No. 43 of 2016, shall be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Udakishunganj, Madhepura, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438 (2) Cr. P.C.
