Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner is husband of the victim of dowry death. Unnatural death took place in the house of the petitioner within a year of marriage. Allegation is of demand of dowry and torture for the same soon before death. Other witnesses have also supported the allegation of demand of dowry and torture before the police.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the deceased was not liking the petitioner and the paternal family members of the deceased were insisting her to remain with the petitioner once married, the deceased committed suicide. The Doctor has found a case of hanging.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.63 of 2021(4) dt.12-04-2021 2/2 Nothing has come during investigation regarding aforesaid claim of the petitioner. Hence, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Prayer is refused in connection with Runnisaidpur P.S.Case No.148 of 2020 pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sitamarhi.
