This is a case under Sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code. Husband has already been allowed provisional bail and the matter has already been sent to the Patna High Court Mediation Centre. The petitioner is mother-in-law and there is general and omnibus allegation.

The learned counsel for the informant has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail on the ground that the main role alleged is against the petitioner, hence, she does not deserve anticipatory bail.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is a widow, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of her arrest or surrender

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.3749 of 2017 (2) dt.17-02-2017 2/2 before the Court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the order, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of CJM, Khagaria/ Successor Court in connection with Khagaria Police Station Case No279 of 2016, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
