The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Suppi P.S. Case No. 225 of 2020 dated 20.09.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 272, 273 of the of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

315 liters of liquor is said to have been recovered from a bush and one Dahaur Paswan was arrested. The petitioner is sought to be prosecuted in this case on the confession made by Dahaur Paswan while in the custody of the police.

Nothing has been recovered from the possession of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.54846 of 2021(2) dt.26-05-2022 2/2 the petitioner.

He is said to be in custody since 23.07.2021 and he does not have the criminal antecedents.

Considering the nature of accusation against the petitioner and the period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District Judge II cum Special Judge, Excise Act, Sitamarhi in connection with Suppi P.S. Case No. 225 of 2020.
