JUSTICE BIRENDRA KUMAR ORAL ORDER 31-01-2018 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Bettiah Town P.S. Case No.509 of 2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 323/307/498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran. Petitioner is husband of the complainant. Allegation is of demand of dowry and torture for the same. The matter was sent for re-conciliation which failed as the petitioner insisted for one-time settlement and separation for which Opposite Party No.2 was not agreeable.
