The petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 302, 384/34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act. Prosecution case is that three unknown miscreants stopped informant's Pick-up Van and tried to loot them and on protest, they fired causing death of one of them. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Petitioner's name has figured during course of investigation in confessional statement of co-accused Sonu Kumar. No other substantive evidence has been collected during course of investigation to suggest the implication of this petitioner in the present case. Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent.
