JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 01-03-2021 Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. The father of the petitioner died in harness on 14.08.2010. The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that at the relevant time the petitioner was not holding requisite qualification and in the process more than ten

It is to be noted here that compassionate appointment to the heir of the deceased employee is not a reservation but a social security measure so that family of the bread earner may not face financial constraint.

Learned Advocate General submits that since family of the deceased employee has survived for ten years, there is no occasion by this Court to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment.

The writ application is dismissed.
