Petitioner seeks bail in Baisi P.S. Case No.20 of 2018 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 20 of the NDPS Actpending in the Court of the 1st Additional Sessions Judge cum Special Judge, NDPS Act, Purnea.

It is alleged in the written report that the police on confidential informant that one Toyota Itios car loaded with Ganja is going towards Purnea from Dalkhola reached at NH 31 and started vehicle checking. During vehicle checking, aforesaid vehicle came. The police gave signal to stop upon which two persons boarded on the vehicle tried to run away. The police caught those persons, who disclosed their names as Awadh

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.42397 of 2019(2) dt.16-07-2019 2/2 Kishore Pandey and Tonideb Barman (petitioner). It is alleged that total 94.650 Kg. Ganja was recovered from the aforesaid vehicle.

In such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage. Prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail is rejected. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial. (Sanjay Priya, J) J. Alam/- U T
