The petitioner has a grievance that, though he has filed an application for mutation before the Circle Officer, Bettiah, West Champaran, way back in 2015, the same has yet not been decided. A copy of the application, seeking mutation has been brought on record by way of Annexure-3 to this writ application.

If what has been asserted in the writ application is

Patna High Court CWJC No.13056 of 2019(2) dt.16-07-2019 2/2 correct, it is a matter of serious concern. An application for mutation has to be disposed of within a time-frame, as prescribed under Bihar Land Mutation Act, 2011. Be that as it may, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the Circle Officer, Bettiah, West Champaran to consider and dispose of the application for mutation, if pending before him, within a period of one month from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
