Patna High Court CWJC No.14846 of 2019(2) dt.25-07-2019 2/2 The petitioners seek a direction to the respondents not to construct a public road over the lands, which belong to the petitioners, without proper acquisition and payment of compensation, in accordance with law.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the earth work is being done for construction of the road over the lands belonging to the petitioners by the State of Bihar, forcibly, without any authority of law.
The petitioners have statutory remedy, if they have grievance(s) that any construction is being made, contrary to the provision of law, by making an application before the Public Grievance Redressal Officer, under Bihar Right to Public Grievance Redressal Act, 2015 (for short 'the Act'). This writ application is accordingly disposed of, giving liberty to the petitioners to approach the Public Grievance Redressal Officer, by making an application, in accordance with the Act and the Rules framed thereunder.
