JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 08-08-2023 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and learned counsel for the Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University (hereinafter referred to as the 'University').
2. Learned counsel for the University has submitted that the request of the petitioner has been examined by a Committee constituted with an approval of the Vice-Chancellor. The Committee found that the applicant requested for his admission in Ph.D. PAT-21 (Mathematics) on the basis of NET score-card. It is noticed that the petitioner appeared in PAT-20 and obtained only 34 marks, therefore, he was declared
Patna High Court CWJC No.10914 of 2023(2) dt.08-08-2023 2/2 disqualified. In the Joint CSIR UGC NET June-2020, the petitioner obtained only 31.750 marks out of 200. The required percentage of marks for a physically disabled candidate for qualifying NET is 25.875% whereas the petitioner obtained only 15.89%, thus, he is not eligible to be qualified in NET. The Committee was not convinced with his submissions, hence, he has been declared disqualified.
3. This Court, therefore, finds that in the kind of the opinion recorded by the Committee specially constituted to examine the case of the petitioner, this writ application has no merit and this Court would not interfere with the decision of the University.
4. This writ application is dismissed.
