The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Vishambharpur P.S. Case No. 16 of 2021, dated 03.02.2021, instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. 45.00 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from the motorcycle of the petitioner. The petitioner is said to be in custody since

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.55496 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 04.02.2021 and he claims to be a person of clean antecedents.

Considering the period of custody of the petitioner and the nature of accusation against him, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Addl. District and Sessions Judge-Cum-Special Judge, Excise, Gopalganj in connection with Vishambharpur P.S. Case No. 16 of 2021 (G.R. No. 179 of 2021).

The application stands allowed.
