It is admitted by the petitioner that except for the period May, 1997 to March, 1999 while he was posted as Deputy Collector, Nawada, his provident fund amount had been authorized for the entire service period in January, 2017 along with prescribed interest thereon.

Learned counsel for the State of Bihar submitted that the deduction statement for the period May, 1997 to March 1999 would be obtained within a week and the payment for the said period would also be authorized within a fortnight. 4.
In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondent-State of Bihar to pay the GPF amount of the petitioner for the period May, 1997 to March 1999 within a period of four weeks from today.
