Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner died in harness on 11.2.2015. He submits that in terms of policy decision of the State Government, the respondents are required to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment as dependent of the employee died in harness.

The State Government has already taken policy decision to consider the case of the dependent of the employee died in harness to tide over the financial crisis occasioned on account of death of the bread earner.

Patna High Court CWJC No.5479 of 2016(2) dt.06-02-2018 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this writ petition was filed with two advance copies to the office of Advocate General on 18.3.2016 but neither respondents have redressed grievance of the petitioner nor they have filed any counter affidavit.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the District Programme Officer (Establishment), Jehanabad who shall examine the claim of the petitioner in the light of the policy decision of the State Government and ensure final decision on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment within a maximum period of sixty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
