The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to promote the petitioner from the post of A.D.M., Vaishali to the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent post in Bihar Administrative Service after quashing the notification no.8288 dated 18.06.2014 issued by the General Administrative Department, Government of Bihar, Patna (annexed as Annexure-20).

3. Learned Counsel for the State in the light of pleadings made in paragraph no.5 of the counter affidavit submits that the claim of the petitioner was once again

Patna High Court CWJC No.5151 of 2016(3) dt.21-01-2025 2/2 examined and after examination, he was granted notional promotion to the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent post of Joint Secretary w.e.f. 18.06.2014 and promotion with financial benefit has been granted in favour of the petitioner w.e.f. 19.06.2014 vide this departmental notification no.8691 dated 17.06.2016 (annexed as Annexure-A to the counter affidavit) as like that of juniors to the petitioner have been granted the same.

4. In response thereof, Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that in the light of pleadings made in paragraph no.5 of the counter affidavit mentioned above, now there is no grievance of the petitioner.

5. As such, the present writ petition stands disposed off as not pressed.
