The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27(A) and 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act. As per the prosecution case, 10 kgs of Charas in 20 packets were recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the case. Inspite of being in custody since 2.1.2020, there is no progress whatsoever in the trial in the learned trial court with no witness having been examined on behalf of the prosecution. Heard learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.55584 of 2021(3) dt.06-05-2022 2/2 taking into consideration the contents of the F.I.R. wherein it has been stated that 10 kgs of Charas was recovered from the possession of the petitioner, the Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and the application is rejected.
